Hokkaido Foot Stool
Made of elm wood.
Crafted in Shanxi province in the mid-1800's of elm wood, a wood that is strong and long lasting and made without using nails or screws these pieces were created for pure function; small stools to sit on while working, narrow benches to perch on while eating and are now given the chance at a more glamorous job. Stools to hold towels next to a bathtub and benches the perfect proportion to fit at the foot of a bed. Sizes are approximate and will vary. Each item is unique in style and design and the wood will show signs of age and use from its history.
