Bull Mask

Carved by hand from kiln-dried pine and painted with aniline wood dyes.
Sourced from local artisans in Guatemala.
These wooden masks are beautifully hand-carved using traditional techniques and carefully hand-painted. Bulls were introduced to Mesoamerica by the Spanish and later became important characters in Mayan dance dramas like Baile del Torito, Baile Patzcar, and Baile Costeño. While these masks are crafted with the same high quality and detail as those used in performances, they are made for decorative display in your home. Each mask has a small hole at the top for easy wall hanging.
Due to the handcraft characteristics of these pieces, there might be slight changes in color, shape, size and weight.
