Black-glazed terracotta pots have historic traditions in both Greece and China. This pot is a replica of a traditional pot with four small handles around the mouth that were traditionally used for carrying straps.

The black glaze is thickly applied over most of the pot with the underlying terra cotta clay exposed at the base. Designed with a vintage-look, this pot is for decorative use.
