Xmanikbeen T Dress

Made with traditional embroidery and 100% linen in Yucatan, Mexico.

Sourced in collaboration with artisan communities in Chiapas and Yucatán.

Crafted from linen and embroidered using a Mayan technique that involves pulling threads from the fabric before embroidering. This dress is made with the ancestral technique "Xmanikbeen" which consists of forming unraveled grids that are later embroidered with elaborate patterns. This technique originates in the zone of the southern cone of the state of Yucatán, in the regions of Tipikal, Mani, Tekax and their police stations.

The intent is to create high-quality, handcrafted pieces that honor traditional techniques while adapting to contemporary design. Also, to preserve and celebrate these craft traditions by ensuring fair trade practices and sustainable production. Each piece is the result of a meaningful collaboration that supports the artisans’ livelihoods and cultural heritage.
